Should the old forum be laid to rest?

I visit the old forum occasionally to check if there is any activity. Apart from a few, it has become pretty much a ghost town.

In most categories, there has not been a post for months, some a year.

 

And if I am really honest, I think that -aside from storing old things of which I wonder why anyone would look for it- it has no purpose left.

Some new Untergangers may not even known of it's existence, because everything is right here.

 

So, really, looking at it, I feel that it is no problem if we put the website off the Internet.

It has served a great purpose bringing Untergangers closer, but since everything is happening here, in the forums and the chat...

...you know.

I think it should be archived, like it was originally supposed to be. There's a reason Jennie pulled the UA off that forum (and why HoF isn't hosted on that forum anymore), and we should move on. Most of the people that were against its archiving don't use it anymore, whether they moved onto here or aren't active anymore.

No, this place needs serious tweaking before I will visit here more often than the old place. And for fegelein sake make sure archive the old stuff, if going pencil of doom someday. There are several important information, files, guides about parodies, others things people spend hours making, that shouldn't just disappear.

Well, that forum will remain accessible for as long as ZetaBoards exists. It is free, so I have no reason to delete it.

 

Since it's mostly dead anyway, I will leave it as it is. I just won't promote it or make any changes to it.

...which we can all transfer to over here. A number of things have already moved to this place, so why should not the rest (of what we feel should go over here)?

 

Most of the things you see in the forums are not really relevant anymore for any purpose.

But some things as controversies, sources for scenes, and miscellaneous interesting topics which e.g. has been highly discussed, are worth to be put here. Those file can be saved.

They can be moved here if we were to exterminate the old forum.

 

I see for the rest absolutely no point in keeping it up.
